Admission Process

Admission to Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program will be conducted as per the guidelines described by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra State.

The candidates having passed graduation with 45% in aggregate (40% incase of backward class candidates from Maharashtra state only) and having Mathematics or Statistics as one of the subjects at 10 + 2 level or higher level examination are eligible to appear at the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by DTE, Maharashtra State.

Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development and Research (TIMSCDR) is a Hindi linguistic minority status Institute having a total intake of 60 out of which 51% of the seats are reserved under minority category for which the students can apply to the Institute along with the MAHMCA-CET score card or on the basis of CET score of Maharashtra Association of MCA Institutes (subject to its approval from Pravesh Niyantran Samiti).

Candidates are requested to submit the following certificate with application form for verification:

  • One attested set of marksheets and passing certificates of SSC, HSC and Bachelor's degree in any discipline, CET score card and hall ticket and print out of CET score card (in case the students has not received the original score card)

  • Migration and Eligibility certificate for candidates from other than University of Mumbai

After admission if provisionally confirmed in the Institute, the candidate has to submit the following documents:

  • Original certificates and five attested set of mark sheets and passin certificate of SSC, HSC and Bachelor's Degree Examination along with CET score card and Hall Ticket
  • Five recent passport size colored photographs
  • Demand draft of full Fees
  • Any other relevant documents
