The Thakur Institute of Management Studies, Career Development, and Research (TIMSCDR) organized the ICAIM 2026, International Conference on Advances in Information Technology and Management, on February 7-8, 2026.
The theme of this year’s conference was “Leveraging Information for Sustainability in Agriculture & Healthcare – –AI for Bharat@100”. It was in association with the AMC (Association of Medical Consultants), the Malad Medical Association (MMA), the Global Indian Scientists & Technocrats Forum (GIST), and the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare (NCSH) in the industries of agriculture and healthcare.ICAIM 2026 aims to contribute towards the vision of AI for Bharat@100 as it sets the stage to drive innovative IT solutions for sustainability and resilience in agriculture and healthcare, specifically, and all other sectors in general. A wide range of topics covered in the conference, including
AI for Agriculture and Healthcare, Emerging Technologies in IT, IT in Management, and the Application of IT in Multidisciplinary Areas.
The conference was held in a blended mode, with experts from IT, agriculture, and medicine. ICAIM 2026explored the role of IT in promoting sustainability in agriculture and healthcare, aiming to inspire innovative solutions and drive transformative changes for an “AI for Bharat@100." The focus was on how IT can enhance productivity, efficiency, and sustainability, contributing to the vision of adeveloped India.
The inauguration of ICAIM 2026, held on 7 February 2026, emphasizedsustainability, contributing to the vision of a developed India. The event was
graced by the Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Indra Mani, Vice-Chancellor of Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani (Maharashtra), along with
the Guest of Honour address delivered by Dr. Sujeet Kumar Shukla.
Dr.Sujeet Kumar Shukla, Senior Scientist at ICAR–Central Institute for Research on Cotton Technology, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, delivered an insightful address during the session.Gaurav Jha, Assistant Professor at Kansas State University and Director of the Digital Agronomy Research Team (DART), delivered a lecture on “AI-Assisted Digital Solutions for Agricultural Resilience.” He highlighted how Artificial Intelligence enables data-driven and precision agriculture by using sensing technologies, drones, and satellite data to monitor crop health, soil conditions, and plant stress.Dr. Amol V. Dahiphale, Agronomist (OFR), AICRP-IFS & Officer In-Charge, Agriculture Research Station Palghar, delivered a session on “AI for Smart Agronomy and Sustainable Agriculture,”where he explained how AI-driven tools such as soil sensors and predictive analytics enable data-driven agronomy, thereby enhancing productivity, sustainability, and resilience in farming systems.
Mr.Vijay Kolekar, Agronomist and Soil Science Specialist, Department of Agriculture, Maharashtra, delivered an insightful session on “AI Enabled
Digital Ecosystem for Climate Resilient Agriculture.” He presented a forward-looking vision for a future-ready farm sector, emphasizing that by harnessing AI, Indian agriculture can become more productive, profitable, resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and equitable.
Panel Discussion on “AI for Bharat@100: Issues & Challenges in Indian Agriculture”
A thought-provoking panel discussion featured esteemed panelists Vijay Kolekar, Agronomist and Soil Science Specialist from the Department of Agriculture, Maharashtra, along with Dr. Amol V. Dahiphale and Dr. Vilas Jadhav, Head of KVK, Palghar.The panelists highlighted several beginner-level focus areas in agriculture and technology, identifying practical domains where students can start contributing immediately.
The inaugural session on Day 2 of ICAIM 2026 was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Rajiv Agrawal, President of AMC, who emphasized the organization’s goal of empowering doctors with the latest innovations for improved healthcare. Dr. Prashant Kerkar, Hon. Secretary of AMC, spoke on Responsible AI in clinical practice, highlighting the importance of patient safety, ethics, and clinical accountability. He stressed that AI should support—not replace—clinicians, while ensuring fairness, transparency, and data privacy.
Dr. Rakhi Agrawal emphasized the benefits of hospital digitization and explained the lifecycle of implementing a hospital management system. She highlighted improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and reduced time through automation.
Dr. Santosh Chapaneri, Lead AI Product Engineer at Wolters Kluwer, discussed the role of AI in healthcare as a clinical support system rather than a replacement for doctors. He emphasized the importance of ethical AI use, patient safety, data privacy, and the continued relevance of human judgment.
Dr. Aashish Mody, General and Laparoscopic Surgeon at Aashish Nursing Home, demonstrated useful apps for daily tasks, including tools for scheduling, document scanning, video editing, and content creation. He showed how these applications enhance productivity and save time.
Dr. Mukesh Gupta, Chairperson – Media & Communication Cell, AMC, and Founder Director – LeNest, Gynaecologist & Obstetrician, spoke about the long-term collaboration between AMC and TIMSCDR. He also highlighted the strong participation, with over 150 attendees in 2026.
The day concluded with a panel discussion on Data Protection Law and the Ethical Use of AI in Healthcare. The panel included Mr. Vivek Tiwari, Dr. Alok Modi, Dr. Aashish Mody, Dr. Rakhi Agarwal, and Prof. Sonu Gupta, Deputy Director. The discussion covered a wide range of topics, including the DPDP Act, which focuses on data privacy and security.
Further, the second day concluded with a Doctor’s Workshop on “AI Tools for Smarter Clinics and Patient Engagement.” The workshop provided a valuable experience for doctors in using technology in their day-to-day practice and empowered them to do so effectively.

The pre-conference sessions were conducted for students by eminent personalities from the industry. The pre-conference session held on February 4, 2026, featured Ms. Jyoti Aggarwal and Mr. Aman Jain, focusing on the Bootcamp agenda—“Generative AI in Action,” including an introduction to Generative AI and onboarding to IBM SkillBuild courses and platform.
The ICAIM 2026 Pre-Conference Hackathon, held on February 6, 2026, focused on the “Gen AI Hackathon Initiative – ‘GenAI Ignite Project.’” Judged by Mr. Malav Shah and Mr. Ravi Sharma, participants showcased their practical application of AI concepts, innovation, and problem-solving skills, while receiving expert feedback from the judges.
The ICAIM 2026 Proceedings published 91 research papers on interdisciplinary subjects, selected after a rigorous review process, with ISBN: 978-81-997623-3-6. The papers were presented before distinguished professionals from sectors involving the application of AI and digital technologies in agriculture, healthcare, core IT systems, and management, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and efficiency. They also emphasized inclusive growth, ethical AI, and interdisciplinary research to drive impactful solutions aligned with national development goals such as “AI for Bharat@100.”
